This day was a opportuniy for manny to prove to the world how ready he was, facing Miguel Cotto and get what he has and he defended for some time. After the 3 respective national anthems were sang by very well-known artists, it was the time were all the people wanted to see, an electrifying moment where two people collide and fight each others hearts out. Surprisingly, Manny was not that pressured, from the look of his face he seemed cheerful(physically), when his entrance theme "Eye of the Tiger" was played, there he was, waving, smiling to the people around the MGM Grandstand, looked like he was already celebrating for his victory against his enemy, not to mention that in this event, he is the challenger, the underdog so to speak, but these things looked like it did not matter as long as the crowd is cheering at him, shouting "MANNY! MANNY!" then I think from his heart, pressure was never there, instead, there was inspiration, and motivation, thanks to the ones who faithfully supports him, especially the filipinos. On the other hand, the Champion, Miguel Cotto was kind of cool, but from the look of his eyes, there was already pressure, though he was the man-to-beat, still he's gping to fight against the #1 pound-for-pound king in the world of boxing, so maybe there was pressure but the opportunity to defeat the Man whom by many considered as "People's Champ". then the fight then started, then the rest is history, it was undeniable that Cotto gave his A game but his power was not enough to match the speed, finesse, and power of Manny. It was a good fight, from beginning to the last duration of round 12 where the referee separated both fighters and call it "TKO". The questions now linger... what's next for Manny? would there be a next mission? would it be target: Mayweather? re-match against marquez? OR will it be retiring time for our champ?
